Lisa Call is a contemporary textile artist based on New Zealand’s Kāpiti Coast.

Working with hand-dyed fabric and stitch, Lisa Call creates large-scale abstract compositions that explore pattern, boundaries, and the tension between order and uncertainty.

Some compositions incorporate painted marks that add complexity and depth to the constructed surface.

She works in series, following a single visual idea across multiple pieces. Each new work investigates colour relationships, geometric structures, and spatial tensions.

Over twenty years and more than 1000 works, her award-winning textile paintings have been exhibited across New Zealand, the United States, and internationally.
